Took this at the shaky bridge the other day. Not getting much of a chance to wonder far afield to get photos so I’ll have to make do with UCC and its surroundings for now. Not a bad hunting ground anyway. The water is unbelievably still down by the shaky these days

A house behind ours went up in flames last Saturday night. It’s amazing how fast the fire took hold, we woke up to what sounded like fireworks, looked out the window, and were greeted with this sight. The house was empty for a while so nobody was hurt, and the fire brigade arrived fairly quickly aswell. What we see here is the struggle between the fire and the water from the hoses.
The Monday morning that it is, I left my camera at home so I can’t upload anything of the limited few that I took over the weekend.
This one’s cheating a little, I didn’t take this, in fact I’m the person on the far left that’s obviously going to get the ball!
This is from Inchydoney Beach outside Clonakilty in December. Great place to go to for a weekend away: good food, good pints, good music, big beach , what more do you need??
Sunrise at the shaky bridge in Cork this morning. Took this one on the way to work. Made me realise that I get up too early!
Was torn between this photo and the one above, so I said I might aswell put up both.
Took this out by the ‘Magic Roundabout’ in Cork last night. Took a good few but feel this is the best one. Wouldn’t mind getting one with the poles in the middle, but the camera kept on slipping!! Didn’t want to cause a pile-up, may have to revisit it. . .
Also just noticed that the right hand side of the picture is cut off. You’ll get a better view if you click on the picture. When I re-size it some of the lines are affected.
This is the new(ish) student walkway and student centre in UCC. Took this last week when I didn’t have a chance to take photos elsewhere.
Took this picture at St. Vincent’s church on Sundays Well in the middle of January. The car park has a nice view of the city. This picture is of St. Finbarr’s Cathedral. Was a little bleary eyed but managed to get this shot. Wouldn’t mind if the foreground were a little brighter though . . .
